This agent is a combination of three monoclonal antibodies: relatlimab (a LAG-3 inhibitor), nivolumab (a PD-1 inhibitor), and bevacizumab (a VEGF inhibitor). Relatlimab and nivolumab work together as immune checkpoint inhibitors by blocking LAG-3 and PD-1 respectively, restoring and enhancing T-cell activity against cancer cells. Bevacizumab is an anti-angiogenic antibody that inhibits vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), reducing tumor blood supply and thus tumor growth. This triplet combination is under investigation in clinical trials, particularly in advanced cancers such as hepatocellular carcinoma[4][6]. The combination aims to further enhance anti-tumor efficacy by modulating immune checkpoints and suppressing tumor angiogenesis.
