Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RelaxPLX is a proprietary botanical dietary supplement ingredient derived from lemon verbena (*Lippia citriodora*) leaves, developed by the nutraceutical company Monteloeder. It is standardized to contain high concentrations of verbascoside (≥24%) and total phenylpropanoids (≥28%). The extract acts as a positive allosteric modulator of GABA-A receptors in the central nervous system, enhancing the inhibitory effects of GABA to manage stress, anxiety, and sleep disorders. Clinical trials have demonstrated its efficacy in reducing perceived stress, lowering cortisol levels, and improving sleep quality without the adverse effects typically associated with benzodiazepines.
