Relief ACP Oral Care Gel

Relief ACP Oral Care Gel is a topical desensitizing and remineralizing treatment developed and marketed by Philips Oral Healthcare. It is formulated with 5% potassium nitrate, 0.22% sodium fluoride, and amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP), a proprietary technology licensed from the ADA Foundation. The gel employs a dual-action mechanism to address dentin hypersensitivity: potassium nitrate provides rapid chemical desensitization by interfering with nerve transmission, while ACP and fluoride work synergistically to remineralize tooth enamel and occlude dentin tubules by precipitating hydroxyapatite and fluorapatite. It is primarily indicated for the relief of sensitivity caused by gum recession, root exposure, post-root planing, and tooth whitening procedures. Additionally, it has been evaluated in clinical trials as an adjunct for masking dental fluorosis and staining.
