Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Relispray is a topical analgesic spray developed and marketed by Midas Care, primarily indicated for the relief of musculoskeletal pain, including backache, joint pain, and muscle strains. The formulation is a combination of several active ingredients: methyl salicylate (wintergreen oil), menthol, camphor, turpentine oil, eucalyptus oil, cinnamon oil, and clove oil. It functions through a multi-modal mechanism; methyl salicylate acts as a local anti-inflammatory by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, while menthol and camphor act as counter-irritants that stimulate sensory nerves to produce cooling and warming sensations, effectively masking the underlying pain. The aerosol spray format is designed for rapid absorption and deep penetration without the need for manual massage.
