Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Relizema is a topical medical device line developed by Menarini for the symptomatic treatment of various forms of dermatitis, including atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, and eczema. Classified as a prescription emollient device (PED) in Europe, it is a steroid-free formulation containing a combination of lipids, emollients, and antioxidants such as furfuryl palmitate, vitamin E, and hyaluronic acid. The product works by restoring the physiological skin barrier and providing derma-protective and moisturizing effects to reduce erythema and pruritus. Clinical studies have demonstrated its efficacy in improving Investigator's Global Assessment (IGA) and Eczema Area and Severity Index (EASI) scores in patients with mild-to-moderate dermatitis.
