Relizorb

Relizorb is a single-use digestive enzyme cartridge designed to hydrolyze (break down) fats in enteral tube-feeding formulas before they enter the body. The device contains iLipase, an immobilized form of the enzyme lipase attached to small beads within the cartridge. As tube-feeding formula passes through Relizorb, the lipase breaks down triglycerides into absorbable fatty acids and monoglycerides, improving fat absorption for patients with fat malabsorption who require enteral nutrition. This process helps increase uptake of essential long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids such as omega-3s (DHA and EPA), which are important for energy, growth, and development. Relizorb is indicated for pediatric patients aged 1 year and above as well as adults[1][4][5][6].
