Overview

Remaxol is a multicomponent metabolic hepatoprotector developed by POLYSAN. Formulated as a solution for intravenous infusion, it contains a combination of succinic acid, inosine, nicotinamide, methionine, and meglumine. The drug exerts antioxidant, antihypoxic, and hepatoprotective effects by stimulating the activity of antioxidant enzymes and restoring energy metabolism within hepatocytes. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of liver dysfunction associated with acute or chronic damage, including intrahepatic cholestasis, drug-induced liver injury (particularly during cancer chemotherapy), and malignant mechanical jaundice. By stabilizing hepatocyte membranes and reducing hyperbilirubinemia and transaminase levels, Remaxol supports liver recovery and function in patients with chronic diffuse liver diseases.
