Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Remergent HQ is a topical skin-lightening product formulated as a cream containing 4% hydroquinone. It is indicated for the treatment of hyperpigmentation conditions such as melasma, chloasma, freckles, senile lentigines, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. The mechanism of action involves the inhibition of the enzyme tyrosinase, which is essential for the conversion of tyrosine to melanin within melanocytes. By blocking this pathway, Remergent HQ reduces the production of melanin pigment and promotes the depigmentation of darkened skin areas. It is typically applied twice daily to the affected regions.
