Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Remogen Omega is a preservative-free, patented microemulsion eye drop formulation designed to treat dry eye syndrome and related ocular surface disorders. It contains topical omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids—specifically eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) ethyl ester and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) ethyl ester—as well as vitamin E (α-tocopheryl acetate), glycerol, polyacrylic acid, acrylates/alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, sodium hydroxide, disodium phosphate, and water for injections[3][7]. The formulation stabilizes all three layers of the tear film by replenishing essential lipids and providing hydration. This helps reduce evaporation of the tear film and protects the corneal surface from dryness, irritation, burning sensations, redness, foreign body sensation, pain due to dry eye syndrome (including keratitis or Sjögren’s syndrome), environmental factors (dust/smoke/air conditioning), immune system diseases affecting tear secretion or medication-induced dry eyes[1][2][3]. The product is suitable for use with both rigid and soft contact lenses. Clinical studies have shown that Remogen Omega effectively alleviates symptoms of moderate to severe dry eye without significant safety concerns[5].
