Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Remura is a bromfenac-based ophthalmic solution developed by ISTA Pharmaceuticals as a topical nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) for the treatment of dry eye disease, formulated to reduce ocular inflammation and associated signs and symptoms of dry eye through inhibition of cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes and suppression of prostaglandin synthesis on the ocular surface.[6][12][14] It was evaluated in a Phase 3 clinical program in patients with dry eye disease, comparing multiple bromfenac concentrations against placebo for improvements in clinical signs and patient-reported symptoms.[6][12][14]
