Overview

REN-850 is an investigational oral small molecule drug developed for the treatment of multiple sclerosis. It acts by inhibiting leukocyte trafficking and modulates cell migration driven by multiple chemokine receptors. Preclinical studies have shown that oral administration of REN-850 significantly reduces disease severity in animal models of both multiple sclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis, suggesting potential utility in autoimmune diseases. The drug was developed by Renovis and entered Phase I clinical trials to assess safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in healthy volunteers[1][2].
