ReN009

ReN009 is an investigational, allogeneic neural stem cell therapy being developed by ReNeuron as a cell-based treatment for late-stage peripheral arterial disease, specifically critical limb ischaemia. The product uses ReNeuron’s conditionally immortalised human neural stem cell line CTX0E03, originally engineered for CNS repair, repurposed here for its pro‑angiogenic, vasculogenic, and tissue-supportive properties to restore blood flow in ischaemic limbs and potentially prevent amputation.[2][3][11][12] Preclinical studies in peripheral arterial disease models have shown that intralimb administration of these CTX-based cells can promote neovascularisation and improve perfusion, providing the rationale for planned first-in-human trials in critical limb ischaemia patients.[1][11][12]
