Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Renotinex is a dietary supplement and herbal complex formulated with a combination of natural terpenes and vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol acetate). It is designed to support the functional state of the urinary system and is primarily used in the management and prevention of urolithiasis (urinary stone disease), particularly in the postoperative period following procedures like contact ureterolithotripsy or extracorporeal shock-wave lithotripsy (ESWL). The active components of Renotinex include alpha-pinene, beta-pinene, camphene, borneol, anethole, fenchone, and cineole. These terpenes exert synergistic effects, including spasmolytic, diuretic, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic activities, which promote the spontaneous passage of renal stones and reduce pain. Vitamin E acts as an antioxidant, protecting renal cell membranes from oxidative stress and lipid peroxidation. Renotinex is manufactured and developed by Polaris.
