Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Repigel is a 3% liposomal povidone-iodine hydrogel. It is being investigated for its antiseptic properties, primarily for the treatment of inflammatory acne by targeting and eliminating *Proprionibacterium Acnes*, and for managing infected mesh skin grafts by reducing bacterial load and promoting re-epithelialization. The formulation is designed to be cosmetically acceptable, becoming colorless and odorless shortly after topical application. In some regions, it is classified as a medicated device.
