reRNA-Melanoma Vaccine is an investigational mRNA-based cancer vaccine developed by Stemirna Therapeutics for the treatment of advanced melanoma. The vaccine utilizes Stemirna's proprietary Lipopolyplex (LPP) delivery platform to encapsulate mRNA encoding tumor-associated antigens or patient-specific neoantigens. Upon administration, the mRNA is taken up by cells and translated into antigenic proteins, which are then processed and presented by antigen-presenting cells to activate a robust, targeted T-cell immune response against melanoma cells. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials in China, both as a monotherapy and in combination with immune checkpoint inhibitors such as toripalimab (a PD-1 inhibitor) to enhance anti-tumor efficacy.
