ReRx-001

ReRx-001 is an orally bioavailable small molecule metabolic modulator being developed by ReRx Therapeutics for the treatment of various metabolic disorders, including obesity, metabolic-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD), non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), metabolic syndrome, and type 2 diabetes. The drug works by targeting pathways involved in energy expenditure and homeostasis to increase metabolic rates and improve systemic metabolic parameters. In preclinical murine models, ReRx-001 has demonstrated significant efficacy and has shown potential for synergistic effects when used in combination with incretin-based therapies like GLP-1 and GIP receptor agonists (e.g., semaglutide and tirzepatide). The program has completed over 20 preclinical studies and is currently positioned for further development toward clinical trials.
