RES 08

RES 08 is a recombinant fusion protein drug candidate that was developed for the treatment of IgE-mediated allergies. It functions by blocking the effect of immunoglobulin E (IgE), thereby preventing the onset of allergic reactions. The drug was originally developed by Resistentia Pharmaceuticals AB, an Uppsala-based biotechnology company. In 2006, Biovitrum (now Sobi) entered into an agreement to handle the process development and manufacturing of the substance for clinical phase III trials. RES 08 was designed to offer a therapeutic option for various allergies, including those triggered by pollen and dust, by neutralizing the antibodies responsible for the allergic response.
