resecabtagene autoleucel

Resecabtagene autoleucel is an investigational, genetically modified autologous T cell therapy being developed for the treatment of autoimmune diseases such as myositis. It is a form of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy in which a patient’s own T cells are collected, engineered ex vivo to express a specific CAR targeting disease-relevant antigens, and then reinfused to target and eliminate pathogenic immune cells. The drug has received Regenerative Medicine Advanced Therapy (RMAT) designation from the FDA for myositis. Clinical development includes trials in multiple autoimmune indications under the RESET program[10].
