**Resolvin D1** is an endogenous specialized pro-resolving lipid mediator that is enzymatically biosynthesized from the omega-3 fatty acid docosahexaenoic acid (DHA)[6][7][5]. It exhibits significant anti-inflammatory and pro-resolving actions, helping terminate inflammatory responses by inhibiting neutrophil migration, suppressing production of inflammatory cytokines, and enhancing macrophage-mediated clearance of apoptotic cells[1][5][8]. Its mechanism involves modulation of the nuclear factor κB (NF-κB) signaling pathway, inhibition of the NOD-like receptor protein 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome, and binding to receptors such as ALX/FPR2[1][3][5]. Preclinical studies indicate potential therapeutic effects in inflammation-driven diseases, including neuroinflammatory and neurodegenerative disorders, arthritis, and tissue injury[5][7]. Not currently approved as a pharmaceutical, it is widely used in research on inflammation resolution.
