Overview

RESP2000 is a preclinical-stage small molecule drug candidate being developed by Respiratorius for the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and severe asthma. It belongs to the RESP series of compounds, which are designed as novel bronchodilators that relax airway smooth muscle through a mechanism of action distinct from current standard-of-care treatments, such as beta-2 agonists and muscarinic antagonists. The program aims to address the needs of patients with obstructive lung diseases who do not achieve adequate symptom control with existing therapies.
