Overview

RESP303 is a nebulized nitric oxide formulation developed by Thirty Respiratory Limited for the treatment of non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis (NCFB). As part of the RESP30X program, it is designed to deliver nitric oxide directly to the respiratory tract to serve as a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent. Nitric oxide exerts its therapeutic effect by inducing oxidative and nitrosative damage to bacterial DNA, proteins, and lipids, making it effective against common respiratory pathogens such as *Pseudomonas aeruginosa* and other potentially pathogenic micro-organisms (PPMs). The drug is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1/2a clinical trial (NOPA) to assess its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and efficacy in adult NCFB patients with high-titre respiratory infections.
