Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Respirogen Micro-Oxygen (RMO) is an oxygen delivery technology consisting of oxygen-filled microbubbles designed to provide systemic oxygenation independent of pulmonary function. Developed by Respirogen, the technology utilizes lipid-stabilized microbubbles that can be administered enterally (rectally) to bypass the lungs and deliver oxygen directly to the bloodstream via the gastrointestinal tract. It is primarily being investigated for the treatment of respiratory distress, pulmonary dysfunction, and hypoxemia, particularly in clinical settings where traditional ventilation is insufficient or in low-oxygen environments.
