Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Respitude is a preclinical-stage therapeutic candidate being developed by Affilogic for the treatment of respiratory diseases. It is based on the company's proprietary Nanofitin platform, which utilizes small (approximately 7 kDa), robust affinity proteins derived from the Sac7d scaffold of the hyperthermophilic archaeon *Sulfolobus acidocaldarius*. These molecules are engineered to bind specific targets with high affinity and selectivity, similar to monoclonal antibodies, but with superior stability across various temperatures and pH levels. The compact size and stability of Nanofitins like Respitude make them particularly suitable for local administration, such as via inhalation, to treat pulmonary conditions.
