Restem-L is an allogeneic, immune-modulatory cell therapy composed of umbilical cord lining-derived stem cells (ULSC), also referred to as umbilical mesenchymal progenitor cells (UMPCs). Developed by Restem, LLC, the therapy is designed to modulate key inflammatory factors and reduce muscle degeneration. It is currently being investigated in clinical trials for the treatment of inflammatory myopathies, including dermatomyositis (DM) and polymyositis (PM), as well as facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD). The cells are administered via intravenous infusion and are intended to provide a systemic anti-inflammatory effect by regulating the immune response and promoting tissue repair.
