Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Restoranail is a topical nail care solution developed and marketed by Alto Pharmaceuticals, primarily in the Canadian market. The formulation contains 16% poly-ureaurethane, which acts as a film-forming agent. When applied to the nail, it creates a uniform, flexible, waterproof, and breathable barrier. This physical barrier is designed to manage nail dystrophy (brittle, cracked, or damaged nails) and treat mild to moderate onychomycosis by inhibiting the growth of dermatophytes through environmental modification rather than pharmacological absorption. It is an over-the-counter (OTC) product that is applied once daily and allows for the concurrent use of nail polish.
