Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Restylane Kysse is a sterile, biodegradable, viscoelastic gel composed of crosslinked hyaluronic acid (HA) of bacterial origin and lidocaine hydrochloride. It is designed for injection into the lips to augment lip volume and correct upper perioral rhytids (wrinkles above the mouth) in adults over 21 years old. The product uses XpresHAn Technology (also known as Optimal Balance Technology), which allows for advanced tissue integration to achieve natural-looking results with flexibility and structure. The HA concentration is 20 mg/mL in phosphate buffered saline at pH 7, with 3 mg/mL lidocaine hydrochloride added for local anesthesia during injection. Results are clinically proven to last up to one year[1][2][4][5]. Developed by Galderma, it was previously marketed as Emervel Lips Lidocaine in some regions.
