Resuspended umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stromal cells (UC-MSCs) are a cell therapy product developed by the Universidad de los Andes, Chile, for the treatment of symptomatic knee osteoarthritis. This specific preparation represents the standard method of MSC delivery, which involves harvesting cells from the umbilical cord, expanding them in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) facility, and resuspending them in a carrier solution immediately prior to intra-articular injection.
