Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Retaine Omega (marketed as Retaine OM3) is an oral dietary supplement developed by OCuSOFT Inc. (CYNACON/OCuSOFT) for the maintenance of ocular surface health and as an adjunct therapy for dry eye management. The formulation features a high-potency blend of omega-3 fatty acids, providing 800mg of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and 400mg of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) per serving, totaling 1300mg of omega-3 fish oil. It also contains 300mg of omega-6 fatty acids from evening primrose oil and 40mg of bilberry extract. These ingredients work through anti-inflammatory pathways to support tear film stability, reduce ocular surface inflammation, and promote overall eye health. As a dietary supplement, it is classified as a nutraceutical rather than a pharmaceutical drug and is administered as oral softgel capsules.
