Drug intelligence / Profile preview
rEV131 is a topically delivered small protein investigational anti-inflammatory agent developed for the treatment of allergic rhinitis, asthma, and several inflammatory eye diseases. It has been studied in clinical trials for conditions such as ocular inflammation after cataract surgery and seasonal allergic rhinitis. The drug was developed by Evolutec Group. Its mechanism of action is not fully characterized or publicly disclosed, but it is described as having anti-inflammatory properties. Clinical trials have reached up to Phase 2; however, at least one Phase IIb trial in allergic rhinitis did not meet its primary endpoint[1][4][5][7].
