Developed and marketed by Bonafide Health, it is classified as a medical device intended for the treatment of genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM), specifically addressing symptoms such as vaginal dryness, irritation, and painful intercourse (dyspareunia). The mechanism of action relies on the high water-binding capacity of hyaluronic acid, which hydrates and maintains the structural integrity of the vaginal mucosa, providing a physical barrier and promoting tissue repair without the use of exogenous hormones.
