Revefenacin is a long-acting muscarinic antagonist (LAMA) used as an inhalation solution for the maintenance treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. It acts as a bronchodilator by competitively antagonizing muscarinic cholinergic receptors, particularly showing kinetic selectivity for the M3 subtype, leading to relaxation of airway smooth muscle and improved airflow.
