Reverse hybrid therapy is a 12-day multi-drug regimen designed for the first-line eradication of *Helicobacter pylori* infection. It is a modification of the standard hybrid therapy, utilizing a 'one-step two-phase' approach. The regimen consists of a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) and amoxicillin administered for the entire 12-day duration, with the addition of clarithromycin and metronidazole specifically during the first 7 days. This sequence is intended to simplify the treatment protocol and potentially improve patient adherence compared to regimens where the antibiotic components change in the middle of the course.
