Overview
The Revivent TC Ventricular Enhancement System + GDMT is a combination therapy regimen used to treat heart failure resulting from ischemic cardiomyopathy. The primary component is the Revivent TC System, a medical device developed by BioVentrix that performs Less Invasive Ventricular Enhancement (LIVE) therapy. This transcatheter-based system uses internal and external micro-anchors to exclude scarred, non-functioning (akinetic) sections of the left ventricular wall, effectively reshaping the ventricle and reducing its volume to improve pumping efficiency. This mechanical intervention is combined with Guideline Directed Medical Therapy (GDMT), which is the standard-of-care pharmacological protocol for heart failure. GDMT typically includes a combination of beta-blockers, ACE inhibitors or Angiotensin Receptor-Neprilysin Inhibitors (ARNIs), mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists (MRAs), and SGLT2 inhibitors, which collectively provide neurohormonal blockade and hemodynamic support.
