Drug intelligence / Profile preview
REVO-UWD-01 is an investigational universal allogeneic CAR-T cell therapy designed to target guanylyl cyclase C (GCC), a protein highly expressed in colorectal cancer cells. The therapy uses T cells from healthy donors that are genetically modified with a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) specific for GCC. This universal platform aims to provide an off-the-shelf CAR-T treatment option, potentially improving accessibility and reducing costs compared to autologous approaches. The primary indication under investigation is metastatic colorectal cancer, particularly in patients with liver metastases. The drug is being developed and trialed by Wondercel Therapeutics (also referenced as Wondercel Biotech or Shenzhen Wandao Cell Technology). Early clinical trials are focused on evaluating safety, dose-limiting toxicities, maximum tolerated dose, immune response, and preliminary efficacy outcomes such as objective response rate and progression-free survival[1][2][6][8][9].
