Drug intelligence / Profile preview
REVTx-99b is Revelation Biosciences' proprietary intranasal liquid formulation of phosphorylated hexaacyl disaccharide, a synthetic monophosphoryl lipid A analogue also called glucopyranosyl lipid A. It is a Toll-like receptor 4 agonist designed to activate localized nasal innate immunity and induce protective cytokines. The program was evaluated in a Phase 1b allergen-challenge study for allergic rhinitis and chronic nasal congestion; the trial met its safety and tolerability endpoint but did not meet exploratory efficacy endpoints. Revelation subsequently described REVTx-99b as being developed for food allergies. ([revbiosciences.com](https://www.revbiosciences.com/revtx99-background))
