Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Rexlemestrocel-L + hyaluronic acid is a combination therapy consisting of an investigational, allogeneic human bone marrow-derived mesenchymal precursor cell (MPC) product (rexlemestrocel-L) delivered with hyaluronic acid as a carrier. Rexlemestrocel-L is designed to modulate inflammation and promote tissue repair, while hyaluronic acid serves as a delivery agent and may provide additional chondroprotective, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic effects. The combination has been studied primarily for chronic low back pain associated with degenerative disc disease, where it has demonstrated significant and durable reductions in pain and improvements in function compared to controls. Mesoblast is the primary developer of this therapy[2][5][7].
