Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Rezirkane is a standardized medical herbal product containing a dry extract of *Ginkgo biloba* leaves. Developed and marketed by Max Zeller Söhne AG (Zeller Medical), it is primarily indicated for the symptomatic treatment of age-related cognitive impairment, such as memory loss and concentration difficulties. It is also approved for the treatment of peripheral arterial occlusive disease (intermittent claudication) to increase pain-free walking distance, as well as for vertigo and tinnitus of vascular or involutive origin. The extract is thought to improve blood rheology, enhance microcirculation, and provide neuroprotective effects through antioxidant properties and the antagonism of platelet-activating factor (PAF) receptors.
