Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RF-A089 is a small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) designed to target anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) and ROS1 rearrangements. Developed by the Hubei Institute of Biological Medicine Industry Technology, a research arm of Humanwell Healthcare (Renfu Pharmaceutical Group), the compound is intended for the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). By inhibiting the kinase activity of ALK and ROS1, RF-A089 blocks downstream signaling pathways such as PI3K/AKT/mTOR and RAS/RAF/MEK/ERK that drive oncogenic transformation and tumor cell proliferation. It is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation in China to assess its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetic profile in patients with ALK-positive or ROS1-positive advanced malignancies.
