Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RF2011 is an investigational antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) drug developed by Ruifu Pharmaceutical and Hongdi Biotechnology for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B. It is designed using a proprietary carbocyclic locked nucleic acid (cLNA) modification technology. RF2011 targets hepatitis B virus (HBV) transcripts to inhibit viral replication and reduce viral protein expression, including hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg). In preclinical studies, RF2011 demonstrated superior antiviral activity and longer-lasting efficacy compared to similar agents like bepirovirsen, along with rapid absorption following subcutaneous administration and a favorable safety profile.
