Overview

RFT1081 is a recombinant protein biologic being developed by Raft Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of chronic pain. It acts by regulating cholesterol trafficking in the plasma membrane and normalizing clustered, cholesterol-overloaded lipid raft microdomains in inflamed glia and macrophages. This mechanism is designed to address the underlying cellular pathology of chronic pain states, including chemotherapy-induced neuropathic pain, nerve injury-induced neuropathic pain, and migraine. Preclinical studies have demonstrated efficacy in various animal models of these conditions.
