RFUS-250

RFUS-250 is a novel, highly selective **kappa opioid receptor (KOR) agonist** being developed by **Yichang Humanwell Pharmaceutical**. It is designed to provide analgesic and anti-pruritic effects by activating KORs primarily in the peripheral nervous system, thereby minimizing central nervous system (CNS)-mediated side effects such as sedation, dysphoria, and hallucinations. The drug is currently being investigated in clinical trials for the treatment of **acute postoperative pain**, **chronic pain**, and moderate-to-severe **pruritus**, particularly chronic kidney disease-associated pruritus (CKD-aP) in patients undergoing hemodialysis.
