Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RG-BCMA is an investigational, universal (allogeneic) chimeric antigen receptor natural killer (CAR-NK) cell therapy developed by Hangzhou RonGu Biotechnology. It is engineered using a lentiviral vector to express a nanobody-based CAR targeting B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA; TNFRSF17). RG-BCMA is designed to recognize and selectively eliminate BCMA-expressing malignant plasma cells in patients with multiple myeloma (bone marrow cancer). An investigator-initiated clinical trial (IIT) for the candidate has been ongoing since late 2024.
