Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**RG-CMH** is an oral Chinese medicinal herb complex evaluated as supportive care for breast cancer patients receiving chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Each capsule contained rose geranium powder plus aqueous extracts of *Angelica sinensis*, *Codonopsis pilosula*, and *Ganoderma tsugae*; the preparation was standardized by ferulic-acid content. In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled 6-week study, RG-CMH was associated with smaller decreases in leukocyte and neutrophil counts than placebo, although it did not significantly improve lymphocyte-subset counts or treatment-related toxicities. Its molecular mechanism is not established; the intended activity is broad immunomodulatory and hematologic support during cytotoxic cancer treatment.
