Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RGN-3919 (also known as RG002 or RG002C0106) is a first-in-class, liver-targeted GalNAc-conjugated small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapeutic developed by Rigerna Therapeutics. It is designed to target and silence the expression of complement component 3 (C3), thereby inhibiting the overactivation of the complement system. Administered via subcutaneous injection, RGN-3919 is being developed for the treatment of complement-mediated glomerular diseases, primarily IgA nephropathy (IgAN). By utilizing Rigerna's proprietary RIHOST, RICMO, and LICOD platforms, the drug achieves long-acting gene silencing with a favorable safety profile and low-frequency dosing.
