Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RGT-274 is a preclinical-stage small molecule agonist of the glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor (GLP-1R) being developed by Regor Pharmaceuticals (also known as Regor Therapeutics Group) for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and obesity. As a small molecule GLP-1R agonist, RGT-274 is designed to activate the GLP-1 receptor, which plays a critical role in glucose metabolism and appetite regulation. The compound was discovered using Regor's proprietary rCARD (Computer Accelerated Rational Discovery) platform. While RGT-274 remains in early development, it represents a follow-on program to Regor's more advanced GLP-1R candidate, RGT-075.
