Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RHA Dynamic Volume (formerly known as RHA 4 Mepi) is a sterile, injectable, cohesive, and biodegradable dermal filler developed by Teoxane and distributed in the United States by Revance. It is formulated using Teoxane's proprietary Preserved Network Technology (PNT), which employs a gentle, heat-free cross-linking process to preserve the long, natural chains of high molecular weight hyaluronic acid (HA). This unique structure provides high dynamic strength and moderate stretch, allowing the gel to adapt to facial movements and maintain a natural appearance at rest and in motion. RHA Dynamic Volume contains 23 mg/mL of cross-linked hyaluronic acid and is co-formulated with 0.3% (wt/wt) mepivacaine, an amide local anesthetic that provides effective pain control during injection with reduced local vasodilation compared to lidocaine, potentially lowering the risk of post-injection bruising. It is FDA-approved for cheek augmentation, correction of age-related midface contour deficiencies, and the correction of moderate to severe dynamic facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds, in adults aged 22 years and older.
