Overview

RHB-204 is an investigational, oral, fixed-dose combination therapy consisting of clarithromycin, rifabutin, and clofazimine. Developed by RedHill Biopharma, it is specifically designed for the treatment of pulmonary Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) disease in adults with nodular bronchiectasis. The combination leverages the distinct mechanisms of its three antibiotic components to provide a potent and simplified treatment regimen. RHB-204 is currently in Phase 3 clinical development (CleaR-MAC trial) and has been granted Orphan Drug and Qualified Infectious Disease Product (QIDP) designations by the FDA, which provide for extended market exclusivity and eligibility for fast-track status.
