**Rhenium-188 hyaluronic acid** is an experimental liver-targeted therapeutic radiopharmaceutical consisting of the beta-emitting radionuclide rhenium-188 complexed with hyaluronic acid. It was developed in preclinical studies for hepatocellular carcinoma, where hyaluronic-acid receptor-mediated hepatic uptake is intended to concentrate beta radiation in the liver and induce localized radiotoxic injury. In mice, the complex showed rapid blood clearance, substantial liver accumulation, and preclinical liver dosimetry and toxicity characterization; it has not been established as an approved therapy.
