Overview

Rhinaction is a natural nasal decongestant spray classified as a Class IIa Medical Device in Europe. Developed by Laboratoire de la Mer, it is indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with acute rhinitis (common cold), colds, and rhinopharyngitis in adults and children over 3 years of age. The formulation consists of hypertonic seawater (2.2% total salts) combined with a complex of three essential oils: Ravintsara, Thyme Linalool, and Field Mint. It works through an osmotic mechanism, drawing fluid from swollen nasal tissues to reduce congestion, while also fluidifying excess mucus and purifying the nasal cavities. Unlike conventional pharmacological decongestants, Rhinaction is free of vasoconstrictors (such as xylometazoline) and corticosteroids, and it does not cause rebound effects or habituation.
