Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Rhinopront** is a combination pharmaceutical drug primarily used for symptomatic relief of acute, allergic, or vasomotor rhinitis with nasal congestion. It contains an antihistamine (carbinoxamine maleate or triprolidine HCl) that reduces allergic reactions and capillary permeability in the nasal mucosa, combined with a sympathomimetic decongestant (phenylephrine HCl or pseudoephedrine HCl) that causes vasoconstriction to decrease swelling and improve nasal airflow for 10-12 hours. Available in capsules, tablets, and syrup formulations, it is taken orally and provides rapid onset of action, demonstrated effective in reducing nasal resistance in clinical studies on adults and children.[1][2][3][5][8][12]
